Everything on this site — pose specifications, joint angles, sequences, breath counts, modifications and contraindications — is general information. It is not medical advice, physiotherapy advice or a diagnosis, and no pose described here is a treatment for any condition.

You are responsible for deciding whether to practise anything you read here. Yoga involves physical risk. If you have an injury, a chronic condition, are pregnant, or have had recent surgery, consult a qualified professional before starting, and stop immediately if something hurts.

Accuracy and changes

We check what we publish and correct errors when they are pointed out, but we do not warrant that every page is complete or current. Entries may be edited, rewritten or retired. Publishing dates are shown on each entry.

Intellectual property

The text of this site, the parametric figures generated for it and the layout of its pages are ours. You may quote a short passage with a link back to the page it came from, and you may print or save pages for your own practice. You may not republish substantial parts of the library, mirror the figures, or use the content to train or populate another website or product without written permission.

Names of poses and their Sanskrit originals are traditional and nobody owns them; our descriptions of them are what we claim.
